The Coolest Title Belts In BritWres

Wrestling is no longer like it was in the seventies and eighties.

Back then there were but a few major titles scattered around. Now each promotion in the country has their own unique championships – that wrestlers will put their bodies on the line to try and win.

And with so many beautiful belts to choose from, we’ve taken on the unenviable task of picking out the nicest belts in BritWres*.

*Note: this is not a ranking of each belt, these belts are in no particular order. There were also a lot more we wanted to feature but then the list would have been far too long.

TNT Extreme Wrestling – Tag Team Championships

Trust TNT to have a belt that reminds us of Robot Wars. It really has that extreme feel and looks super badass.

Be careful not to get too close, especially if you’re not the holder!

Current Holders: Kings of the North

Catch Pro Wrestling - CATCHweight Championship

A recently added belt to the Catch roster, this belt is a beautiful tribute to Alan Turing - the British mathematician who is credited with being one of the early innovators of computer science and AI.

The binary code on the belt and incredible side tags are simply stunning and will look great round the waist, or over the shoulder, of anyone.

Current Holder: Tom Thelwell

Kapow Wrestling – Heroweight Championship

A name like Kapow sparks up images of those cool comic book strips and of a superhero knocking out the bad guy.

Their title backs up those images with its cartoony look that just suits how fun and exciting the promotion is.

Current Holder: Simon Miller

Lucha Britannia – Lucha Britannia Wrestling Championship

This belt just screams old school! It takes you back to the time when wrestling was on TV regularly in the UK – when the likes of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks ruled the world.

It’s a mix of camp, fun and stylish that anyone would be proud to wear.

Current Holder: La Diablesa Rosa

Preston City Wrestling – Cruiserweight Championship

Just a classic wrestling belt! Covered in gold and it looks like a top title. The engraving is beautiful and makes the holder look like the real deal.

Current Holder: Leyton Buzzard

ICW – Women’s Championship

Probably the biggest title on this list, at least in terms of the size of the promotion It belongs to,

The women’s title has had some huge names attached to it and we hope they love the look as much as we do – it’s almost hypnotising in design.

Current Holder: Angel Hayze

Pro Wrestling: Eve – Tag Team Championships

The bit of colour on these belts really makes them pop. Eve is synonymous with the colour green but the blue on the straps just makes them stand out a bit in the BritWres tag divisions.

Current Holders: Medusa Complex

Attack! Pro Wrestling – Attack Pro Wrestling Championship

Much like Kapow, Attack! Have gone with a brilliantly cartoony look for their belt. It has fun, it has excitement and it looks unique.

Attack! Are on hiatus at the moment but we hope they return soon because this belt deserves a new holder!

Current Holder: Vacant

Riptide Wrestling – Brighton Championship

As far as design goes this could easily be top of the pile. The amount of work that must have gone into engraving that is brilliant.

And unlike a lot of other titles, this belt has gone the extra mile to make sure it encapsulates the surroundings the Brighton promotion finds itself in.

Current Holder: Vacant
