Indie Wrestlers As Ice Creams
SUMMER is well and truly here, with warm and sunny days enveloping the UK at the moment. And what’s the perfect way to cool down on a hot day? Ice cream!
Continuing our bizarre comparison articles, this week we’ll be comparing indie wrestlers to some of our favourite ice creams and ice lollies.
WARNING: This article is best read when the ice cream truck is nearby!
Doug Williams - Mr Whippy
The classic, the ultimate, the top of the pile. Mr Whippy, 99 (with or without a Flake), whatever you know it as it’s the OG, the top dog, the best in the business. Sound familiar?
Chuck Mambo - Solero
Just a party on a stick, fun, tropical and an absolute blast to have around - the perfect way to describe Mambo…well, maybe without the stick.
Jetta - Cornetto
Sleak, elegant and absolutely perfect. It’s ice cream royalty and so we had to compare it to the Princess Diana of Pro Wrestling. A cone you see everywhere and that absolutely shines.
Calippo - Clementine
Zesty, vibrant and perfectly cooling (with a little bit of a wild side). Clementine is bouncy and dynamic in between the ropes and is a refreshing sight when you want something just a little cool and crazy.
Choc Ice - Lion Kid
A favourite among the youngsters for its simplicity and fun appeal. The one that parents and their kids can enjoy. Fun for all ages.
Priscilla, Queen of the Ring - Fab
Sparkly, fun, fabulous and full of colour and flavour. Priscilla is vibrant and a tonne of fun in the ring and we think that’s perfectly encapsulated by the Fab.
Charles Crowley - Spongebob Lolly
Sometimes haunting, always funny, always entertaining and if anyone says they don’t like it then they’re lying.
Rocket - Mariah May
We’re talking about both Mariah and her career trajectory which has taken off into the stratosphere! Mariah is blasting off and so the Rocket is the perfect comparison.
Fruit Pastille - CPF
Loads of flavours, lots of variety but bring them all together and they make a top tier ice lolly! CPF capture this dynamic perfectly. Four guys that blend their styles together so well that they are a joy to watch all together.
