More Indie Wrestlers as Pokemon
Back in January we combined two of our favourite things - and things of every wrestling fan of a certain age - wrestling and Pokemon.
We compared 12 of our favourite indie wrestling stars to Pokemon from throughout the franchise’s historic run. You can check that our here
So now we’re revisiting the world of Pokemon to compare eight more of the famous Pocket Monsters to indie wrestlers.
Alex Windsor - Nidoqueen
Need we explain more? She’s the Queen of British Wrestling, there could only be one pick of Pokemon to match her up with
Warren Banks - Pikachu
The face of the franchise, the top tier player who can go through anyone of any size and come out on top. Banks, like Pikachu, could be the poster star for his industry for years to come.
Alexxis Falcon - Vulpix
A fiery redhead who will burn anyone in her path, she may look sweet and huggable on the outside but mess with her and you’ll be turned to ash.
RP Davies - Hitmonchan
In our last list we compared the kicking Pokemon Hitmonlee to Janai Kai, so for punching it seemed only right to go to the man with full in-ring boxing experience.
Ava White - Lopunny
I don’t know what the creators of Pokemon were thinking about when they came up with this design, but if any Pokemon could rival Ava in leg length it’s Lopunny - look at those legs! But don’t judge her just on that, mess with either of them and you’ll get a swift kick round the head.
Kidd Bandit - Incineroar
Dark and dangerous with abs for days, you definitely don’t want to get on the bad side of either of these fire-breathing stars. Okay Bandit doesn’t breathe fire (as far as we know).
Jayde - Gothorita
It’s not just us who sees it right? If you’re gonna go for the Goth Pokemon it’s got to be a comparison to the Poison Princess. All Gothirita is missing to complete the look is the hat.
Aramis - Hawlucha
The masked wrestling star who will flatted anyone who stands in their path and take no prisoners in the ring, an absolute beast - and Aramis isn’t too bad either.
Lana Austin - Jigglypuff
We all know Lana has got the voice of an angel…well a voice, at least we can all agree on that. And we’re sure it would be perfect for sending people to sleep (we’ll let you decide if we mean that in a good or bad way).
