Booking the ultimate Wrestling Euro 2024 tournament

Any and all football fans out there will be well aware that Euro 2024 is about to get under way! Pitting 24 of the best team in Europe against each other.

So here at Grapple Theory we thought we’d get in on the action as well, booking the ultimate indie wrestling Euro 2024 tournament, where the best wrestlers in Europe will go head-to-head to determine who is the best on the continent.

There will be 16 competitors (I don’t like the 24 version the Euros has adopted so we’re going classic 16), split into four groups of four. The top two from each group will progress before a straight knockout to decide the Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and final.

The tournament will take place on our Twitter starting once the tournament is under way - but in the mean time…let’s meet the 16 contestants!

England - Nina Samuels

She has almost every single belt there is to win in British wrestling at the moment, of course we had to make Nina England’s entrant, she’s ready to smoke the competition and bring the trophy home.

Ireland - Debbie Keitel

A veteran of the British and Irish wrestling scene, Debbie has the experience and know how to do what it takes and get the job done, you’d expect her to progress through the group and after that…who knows.

Wales - Mark Andrews

He’s been one of the best on the scene for years and years, and yet it still feels like Mandrews goes under-appreciated for everything he’s done on BritWres. Can he translate his success to success in this tournament?

Scotland - Che Monet

A dark horse in terms of the UK entrants, Che may be up against some bigger names but he has power where it counts and will call upon the support of his fellow countrymen to get him far in this tournament.

Northern Ireland - Adam Maxted

Rounding off the Home Nations is a man with experience in both wrestling and reality tv, two things that we can all agree will give him the mental toughness needed for a gruelling tournament.

France - Kira Chimera

Proudly representing France is the (at the time of writing) Rixe Catch champion. She’ll have their support I’m sure, the only question is where the allegiance of her Dogs Bollox partner Scotty Rawk will lie…

Finland - Regina Rosendahl

Regina has been one of the shining lights of Scandinavian wrestling for many years now and while she may be out injured she’s still got more than enough power to guide her far in this tournament.

Sweden - Aliss Ink

I fear that anyone who doesn’t vote for Aliss Ink is in for a world of hurt. Seriously, would you want to make this woman mad? She’d kick your damn head off.

Portugal - Claudia Bradstone

Claudia has been smashing it across mainland Europe and has developed a strong and loyal following, all of which she’ll need if she’s to progress beyond the groups in the Euros.

Denmark - Peter Olisander

Peter Olisander has brute strength in the ring, but it will take more than strength to go for in this competition. He’ll also need the support of his army of followers on social media.

Germany - Bobby Gunns

Bobby will be sure to get his Gunns out and hope to overwhelm his competitors. A favourable draw in the group stage and he could go very far indeed.

Hungary - Peter Tihanyi

Hungary may appear to be an underdog nation as far as this tournament is concerned, but Peter is far from an underdog. He’s been making waves in mainland Europe, especially at wXw, and will be more than a match for anyone.

Spain - Sara Leon

Sara Leon will bring the fiery Spanish heat needed for her to go far in the competition, depending on her group drawing she could go very far indeed.

Italy - Nico Angelo

Credit: @y2jimbob

With Wales taken up by Mandrews we’ve seeded Nico to Italy, we couldn’t leave him off could we! He’s going to bring a world of pain to anyone he comes up against…and watch out for the murder spike!

Austria - Robert Dreissker

Credit: @szanditihanyi

A veteran of the scene and someone who has helped train a fair few of the wrestlers he could come up against in this tournament, will that mentorship help give him the edge? Who knows

Switzerland - Michelle Green

Michelle Green is MONEY! And if she’s sneaky enough she may be able to pay her way into the next round. But her skills alone should be enough to see her through at least the group stage.
