Pro Wrestling EVE returns with Wrestle Queendom 4

Pro Wrestling EVE returns with Wrestle Queendom 4

FROM current WWE superstars to wrestlers that are among some of the biggest names on the indies, a whole host of mighty warriors have held the top Pro Wrestling EVE title.

Since its inception the London-based Riot Grrrls of Pro Wrestling have seen some truly epic title reigns and matches.

And the promotion is due to make its much anticipated return with Wrestle Queendom 4 on August 27.

In this list we’ll take a look at everyone who has help the top belt at the Punk Rock Wrestling promotion and rank their respective reigns.

It is worth noting that we are ranking each star on their EVE top title reign ONLY and not their overall time in the company.

One of only two women to hold the top title for less than a day, the now NXT UK star won the championship from Kay Lee Ray at Wrestle Queendom 2 but lost it straight away to current champion Rhia O’Reilly.

She did have a far better 93 day run as EVE’s first International Champion in 2018 though.

The Freddie Mercury stand-in comes in next on the list, only having one reign and failing to defend the belt.

She won it from Nikki Storm at Wrestle-Fever in 2012 but lost it to her on the very next show.

10. Alpha Female

The woman often known as Jazzy Gabert won the title from Jenny Sjodin on a non-EVE show and would only defend it successfully once at Eve, despite a 223 day reign.

She was dethroned by Nikki Storm – but more from her later on.

9. Kay Lee Ray

A reign of 113 days is impressive, but Ray – the former NXT UK women’s champion, only successfully defended the belt once in that time (according to Cagematch).

She would eventually lose it to Viper at Wrestle Queendom 2.

8. Nina Samuels

Winning the title off Charlie Morgan signalled the start of huge things for Nina Samuels. She dropped the belt to Kay Lee Ray in March 2019 – both are now big names in NXT UK.

7. Jenny Sjodin

The Swedish wrestler both won and lost the Eve title on non-Eve shows.

But the promotion’s faithful fans were treated to some great contest with her at the top star – including a strong showing against Rhia O’Reilly

6. Charlie Morgan

Morgan’s reign wasn’t as long as Sjodin’s but it was a run that was hugely uplifting and touched the heartstrings of Eve fans.

Matches with Charli Evans and a fatal four way at Eve Strong Women Style were highlights, but it would have been nice to see her defend the belt more.

5. Jetta

After a decade of service to EVE, The Princess Diana of Pro Wrestling finally got her hands on the company’s top belt at Wrestle Queendom 4.

It was the culmination of a lot of hard work from England’s Rose but it wouldn’t last. She dropped the strap to Emersyn Jayne at the very next show in December 2021.

She would win the belt back at Slayers in Spandex 2 and it’s this near year-long run with the belt that’s earned her a top five spot on the list

You guys know Saraya right? First NXT Women’s Champion, won the Diva’s title on her Raw debut?

Well the future WWE Hall of Famer was also the first Pro Wrestling Eve champion and while her reign was only 57 days, there can only be one first.

She defeated Nikki Storm in the final of a 21-person tournament to make Eve history

3. Emersyn Jayne

Jayne defeated Kay Lee Ray in an epic no DQ match, following a 16-person tournament which was set up when Rhia O’Reilly had to vacate the belt.

She would keep hold of the title for nearly an entire year, with a title defence against then two-time title holder Rhia being a cracking highlight.

She won it back off Jetta in December 2021, but lost it again at Slayers in Spandex 2 in February of this year

2. Nikki Storm

Storm had three reigns as champion but only one of them lasted more than a month – fortunately for her that reign lasted a whopping 665 days.

Her first reign lasted barely any time at all, having defeated Alpha Female she immediately lost the title to Emi Sakura.

She’d then defeat Sakura to kickstart her mammoth title reign, eventually losing it to Rhia O’Reilly.

She would beat Rhia to win the title back at XWA Goldrush, but lost it 21 days later as she’d go on to sign for WWE.

She’s now a former Raw Women’s Champion as Nikki A.S.H and she deserved more of a major push stateside.

1. Rhia O’Reilly

Rhia is the longest single reign champion in Eve history, eclipsing Nikki Storm.

The three-time champion won the belt for the first time from Storm, the women she’d defeat for her second reign. She beat Viper at Wrestle Queendom 2 in 2019 to complete her trio.

With each of her individual reigns lasting more than a year, Rhia’s combined reigns add up to over an incredible 1,500 days – she truly is the face of Eve.

She lost the belt to Jetta at Wrestle Queendom 4.
