Indie Wrestlers As Recess Characters
WE ALL know the classic Nineties/Noughties Disney Channel show Recess, right? The show that follows the break time adventures of the kids at Third Street Elementary School.
Well, because I’m definitely an adult I may or may not have been rewatching the nostalgic TV series (it’s actually pretty hilarious, even for adults).
So with it fresh in my mind I’ve decided to compare some of your favourite indie wrestlers to the likes of TJ, Spinelli, Gretchen, Mikey, Vince and Gus - plus a few more.
Let’s get going shall we?
Warren Banks - TJ Detweiler

The leader of the pack, one of the first names you think of when you think of British wrestling. The one who would do anything for his friends and while he doesn’t always come out on top is destined for greatness.
The OJMO - Vince LaSalle

Athletic, agile and most importantly the coolest kid in school. Vince is adored by all and when it comes to what they do (mainly sports) there’s nobody better - much like Oku in the ring.
Gia Adams - Ashley Spinelli

Tough as nails, loves wrestling (okay that could’ve been anyone on this list) and known to be willing to ‘whale’ on anyone of any gender who dares to cross her.
Axel Tischer - Gus Griswald

Okay, this one was tough. Gus is the new kid on the block and so I was tempted to go with someone like Rebecca Reznor. But given the army background Gus exhibits I decided to go with Axel, due to his military work in his younger years.
Will Kroos - Mikey Blumberg

Simply put, the big guy with an absolute heart of gold - the perfect way to describe both Mikey and Kroos. It’s yet to be determine whether Will can dance or sing as well as Mikey.
Eden Von Engeland - Gretchen Grundler

Given Eden’s science background it’s only fitting to have her be the brains of the group. The one who studies hard and can help the others out using logic and mathematics.
Charlie Morgan, Charli Evans, Charlie Sterling and Charlie Carter - The Ashleys

A simple premise for this one as well, much like The Ashleys, the four wrestlers picked here have the same first name. Can you imagine this quartet as a faction? It would be….SCANDALOUS!
RJ Singh - King Bob

Obviously The King is The King, right? The ruler of the playground, the one with all the answers. And ready to pass the crown onto someone else when he hangs up his boots….or moves to Middle School.
Mad Kurt - Randall

Charles Crowley and Clementine - The Kindergarteners

TK Cooper and Chuck Mambo - The Diggers, Sam and Dave
