WrestlerVision: Booking Wrestling’s Fantasy Singing Contest
We all love the Eurovision song contest, right? The annual, completely bonkers singing contest that pits some talented but also hilarious acts against each other - all representing their country.
With the competition taking place in Liverpool this year, on behalf on Ukraine, we’ve decided to fantasy book the ultimate British wrestling Eurovision Song Contest. Here’s who we’d like to see compete…
Oh and if Wrestle Island read this, feel free to use this as inspiration to booking a show!
Ireland - Debbie Keitel
The Woke Queen would totally be up for this, she’d be belting out her song of choice at full volume! Whether she’d be any good is another story, but having heard her sing at EVE before I can say it would definitely be entertaining!
United Kingdom - Man Like Dereiss
Dereiss would certainly add a different style to proceedings with his rap inspired stylings, he’d be considered a front runner by the fans but, as we all know, the UK never wins.
Sweden - Aliss Ink
She’s becoming more of a regular on the British scene so we had no problem putting Aliss in this contest. We have no idea what she’d sing though, Aliss let us know!
Germany - Axel Tischer
Come on, who wouldn’t want to see the wXw and PROGRESS favourite take to the stage and sing something dark and mysterious - what a vibe!
Portugal - David Francisco
The Purpose Wrestling founder would have not only his country but the promotion to represent - leading to extra pressure, but we think he’d have a fair few fans! Including Amira!
France - Kira Chimera
We feel pretty confident in saying that no Eurovision acts have appeared on stage with baseball bats before - and so Kira could make a little bit of history and look intimidating as well!
Poland - Polish Barry Haneke
We’ve already spoken to Barry about this on Twitter and he’s assured us that he’ll sing a song from the Disney classic Pocahontas, in Polish of course!
Norway - Clementine
This would be once of the wacky, laugh out loud entries of the contest that could pull of the win simply by endearing the crowd by how wild the performance is. We’re sure Crowley would be a back up dancer too!
Italy - Laura Di Matteo
The EVE regular is an obvious choice and we think could perform something stirring and atmospheric to really wow the crowd and be near the top of the pack.
Australia - Charli Evans
Yep, Australia are part of Eurovision and so we need an entrant! We don’t know if Chevs would sing something emo or something from Hannah Montana but either way it would be pure fire!
