Indie Wrestlers As Flowers

IF THE last week of lovely sunshine is anything to go by, Spring is well on its way. The flowers are in bloom and people seem to have a new warmth about them.

Springtime is of course a time for flowers and so, with so many different varieties to choose from, we’ve taken a look at some flowers from across the world and compared them to our favourite indie wrestlers.

Jetta - Rose

I mean, this one is obvious right? The English Rose is obviously named after one of the most popular types of flowers. A definite babyface, she embodies the style, class and beauty of the flower she bases her nickname on.

Ivy - Ivy

Another obvious one, we promise they aren’t all based on names, only some. The seeds of the Ivy plant can be black of dark purple, perfect for when Ivy (the wrestler) dyes her hair. And they slowly climb up wood and other tall plants to grow - much like how Ivy is slowly climbing the BritWres ladder to make her way to the top.

Will Kroos - Cast Iron Plant

Tough as nails is the best way to describe both this plant and the wrestler we’ve paired it with. Kroos, being the big hunk of beef he is, had a iron will and strength to match. This aptly names plant is therefore the perfect partner, as it is one of the most resilient in the world.

She-Wolves (Molly Spartan and Kasey Owens) - Aconitum

The common name for this incredible purple plant is Wolfbane. Don’t let looks fool you know this plant, much like this vicious tag team, can be deadly. Don’t mess with either, or you’ll be sorry you did.

Nightshade - Belladonna

The Italian translation of this plant is an accurate description of the wrestler we’ve paired it with already, but it goes one step further when you realise this plant is commonly known as Deadly Nightshade. One of the most common poisonous plants, much like the flower Nightshade can be deadly when messed with.

Cara Noir - Black Swan Poppy

We just had to find any kind of flower called Black Swan so we could include Cara Noir! And I think we did quite well as not only do they share a name but both flowers look dark, mysterious and supremely cool as well.

The Dream Dollz (Mariah May annd Zoe Lucas) - Impatiens Bequaerti

One look at this plant and you’ll see why we’ve compared it to Mariah and Zoe. It’s real name may not give away any hints, but this flower is commonly called the Dancing Girls and that’s exactly what it looks like. We all know that Mariah and Zoe can bust a move either before or after beating up their opponents.

Clementine - Verbascum ‘Clementine’

Another namesake for our list, this bright and colourful plant looks fun and quirky, just like our Clementine. Full disclousre, we tried to find a dragon slayer plant of some kind but had no luck. But where Clementine is, there’s someone else near by…

Charles Crowley - Creeping Charlie

Credit: @beyondgorilla

Now, it might seem like an insult to compare Crowley to a type of garden weed, but hear us out. Not only the the name appropriate - the Charlie part not the creeping part, although…. - but it is one of the most resilient plants in the garden. Even leaving one tiny scrap of the plant around when trying to get rid of it will see it regrow stronger than ever….take note Wrestle Carnival!
