BritWres Stars As Cake

In 2021 Catch Pro Wrestling was abuzz with cake talk.

We’re not fully sure how it started, but ahead of (or following depending on when you read this) Monday Night Catch Pro there’s one pressing matter - what kind of cake with Catch provide?

While we wait on that we’ve decided to answer the clear second key question, which wrestler is most like which type of cake?

Well wonder no longer because those questions have been answered.

Victoria Sponge Cake - Lizzy Evo

A classic, an elegant cake choice and the real OG of sponges. Now, in Catch terms there’s only one true OG and that’s the first ever women’s champion - Lizzy Evo.

The Scouse star has been part of every Catch show (Enygma Series excluded) and, like a Victoria Sponge at any good bake sale, is guaranteed to be on the card.

Chocolate Fudge Cake - Big Guns Joe

Whenever you order a piece of chocolate fudge cake it always comes as a hench slice and who is the most hench star in Catch? Why Big Guns Joe of course.

Joe is BIG, but we’re sure Gia Adams will back up that, like chocolate cake, he’s probably mega sweet on the inside.

Lemon Cake - North West Strong

Now you may be wondering where we’re going with this…to be honest that’s how this how article has gone. But it’s fairly clear when you think about it.

The sourness of lemon cake packs a punch, like Ridgeway, Jacobs and Allen, and their awesome matches are the sweet icing on top - see, we made it work…

Carrot Cake - Ivy

We end with one of the most controversial cakes of all, a slice that divides opinion across the country - including in the Twitter threads that have followed Catch in this cake filled journey.

Now which wrestler does that remind us of, it’s got to be Ivy. One half of the Pretty Little Killers, she certainly divides opinions here at Grapple Theory.

She’s supremely cool and talented, which makes her likeable, but as a dastardly heel, usually using nefarious means to win, she’s also unlikeable. Also she admitted on Twitter she doesn’t like carrot cake and we enjoy the irony of this selection.
