The British and Irish Wrestling Stars to Watch Out For in 2024

It’s a new year and plenty to look forward to in the world of wrestling. Every year we take a look at the rising stars to keep your eye on in the upcoming year, and so far we think we’ve done a pretty good job!

So with that in mind, these are the upcoming stars we think will steal the spotlight in 2024.

Myles Kayman

In 2023 Myles Kayman showed why he’s called The Golden Boy. He took BWR by storm, He won the BWR Cruiserweight title and has defended it successfully already - and if you know how competitive the cruiserweight scene is up north you’ll know what a big deal that is. He needs to be EVERYWHERE.

Kira Chimera

French brawler Kira had a brilliant 2023, highlighted by winning the Rixie Catch title and her brilliant feud with Scotty Rawk at United Wrestling. The pair are now a tag team, The Dogz Bollox, and we can’t wait to see where their story goes from here.

Jay Joshua

It’s been a breakout year for the bruiser from Wales, he’s made a name for himself across Wales and is now getting bookings from further afield. 2023 saw Jay have some standout matches and we can’t wait to see him take on even more top class athletes this year.

Zizi

Zizi is just starting out her wrestling journey but is already making waves. If you’ve seen her in action then you’ll know exactly how good she is and her potential. You also may have seen her without even realising she has a knack for showing up dressed as a shark or dinosaur. She’s got a brilliant sense of comedic timing and has the potential to go far.

Mark Trew and Kieron Lacey

Speaking of breakout years, Mark Trew and Kieron Lacey absolutely smashed it out the park last year. The tag team got some huge opportunities, none more so than being involved in RevPro’s Great British Tag League. It’s only a matter of time before even more promotions take notice and they become one of the best tag teams in the country.

Lucy Sky

Picking up the Ignition Championship and the Wrestle Island title in 2023, Lucy basically became the unofficial ruler of the Liverpool wrestling scene. But this year we wouldn’t be surprised to see her dominate not just the rest of the north but the rest of the UK.

The Bryants

This could be the year Zander and Nino Bryant become big names in the British wrestling scene. Their fast paced and high flying style has already brought them fans across London and the south, but we want to see them EVERYWHERE this year. Get them booked promoters!

Megan

She totes herself as 190lbs of British beef and we’re not going to argue that, Megan is stacked and jacked and has the power to take on most anyone on the scene right now. It would be great to see her take that next step in her career and cement herself as a regular on the northern scene.

Harrison Leon

One of the newest members of The 87, Harrison has charisma that matches his size. Towering over all his competitors he’s one of the toughest new competitors on the scene and his personality makes it impossible not to smile when he’s in the ring.

Lily Winter

The LWF Women’s Champion will be hoping to extend her run with the strap in 2024 and we’d love to see her claim more gold while she’s at it. It’s apt that we write this in January because, as Lily’s name suggests, she’s a frosty competitor and her gear gives off similar chilling vibes.

Act Two

The final tag team on this list, Jack Knudsen and Benjamin Harland are one of the most fun and fascinating up and coming duos on the scene. They always bring their best to the ring and know exactly how to get the crowd engaged. In 2023 they even challenged for the IMPACT tag titles…let’s see what 2024 brings.

Anita Vaughan

We end in Ireland with one of the fastest rising stars on the scene. Anita Vaughan is an absolutely powerhouse, her strength puts her up there with some of the strongest in the country and she’s got a quick wit too. She’s thriving in both solo competition as with Debbie Keitel as part of The Gals. Hopefully more promotions here in the UK tag a chance on her.
